THE HISTORY OF MR. GAY NEW ZEALAND
Mr. Gay New Zealand has a proud history in New Zealand and around the world. The national Mr. Gay New Zealand title first began back in 2009 when Reece Karena became the first person to represent New Zealand at the annual Mr. Gay World.
New Zealand has been crowned the title a title of Mr Gay world twice since 2009, firstly In 2012 by Andreas Derleth and again in 2013 by Christopher Olwage.
Mr. Gay New Zealand has worked with a number of charities and LGBTI organisations including the New Zealand Aids Foundation (NZAF), Rainbow Youth, Out Line, and many more with the aim of helping and promoting a heathy lifestyle for members of the LGBTI community Mr. Gay New Zealand represents.
